Basic Information On Sexually Transmitted Diseases

This article examines some general information about sexually transmitted disease (STD). If you are interested in finding out what is sexually transmitted disease and how can you get affected by it, then keep reading.

What Are Sexually Transmitted Diseases?

Just like name suggests, sexually transmitted diseases (also reffered to as sexually transmitted infection (STI) and veneral disease (VD)) are diseases that transmit from one person (or animal) to another through sexual intercourse.

In other words, if you have sex (either vaginal, oral or anal) with a woman who is infected by any kind of sexually transmitted disease, chances are you will also get infected by that STD.

In addition, such illnesses can also be transmitted by using the same intravenous drug needle that was previously used by someone who has sexually transmitted infection. Two more possible causes for getting infected with this disease are through breastfeeding or childbirth.

The strange thing about these types of diseases is the fact that even though someone is infected by STD and can infect others, this does not necessarily mean that this person will actually suffer from symptoms of the disease (or show signs of it).

If you are wondering how is that possible, here is an explanation:

Difference Betwen Sexually Transmitted Infection And Sexually Transmitted Disease

Basically, we have to differentiate between having a sexually transmitted disease and having sexually transmitted infection.

In case of infection, the person has either germ (virus), bacteria or parasite in the body that can potentially cause the ST disease. Being infected therefore does not necessarily mean that your body will suffer from the effects of disease or show signs (symptoms) of it.

On the other hand, if the person is diagnosed as having STD, then this means that disease has progressed from only being in the body to hurting it. In such cases, the affected person is showing all the signs (symptoms) of the disease and feels sick too.

As mentioned, it does not matter whether you only have infection or disease, in case you have sexual intercourse with other person, chances are that person will also develop either infection or a disease.

Most Common Types Of Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Now that we have some basic understanding of what sexually transmitted diseases are, lets now mention some of most common types of STD.

Generally speaking, sexually transmitted disease can come in either bacterial, fungal, viral or parasite form.

Among the bacterial types of STD, you will find conditions such as Chancroid, Chlamydia, Granuloma inguinale, Gonnorhea and Syphilis.

Among fungal types of STD, Tinea cruris and Candidiatis (also known as male penile trush) can be found.

Regarding viral types of sexually transmitted diseases, the most common ones are Viral hepatitis (B virus), Herpes simplex, HIV or AIDS, Human Papilloma Virus and Molluscum contagiosum.

Among the parasites that cause STD, two of the most common conditions are Crab louse and Scabies.

This is all about sexually transmitted diseases for now. I will be writing about this subject in future blogs as well, so do not forget to subscribe!

Male Sexual Problems: Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is one of the most common male sexual problems

When discussing male sexual problems or dysfunctions, we can not go past premature ejaculation. Many men of all ages are having problems in their (sexual) life because they ejaculate too fast during sexual intercourse.

To find out more about this specific male sexual problem, I invite you to keep reading this article. The article will provide you with some basic information about premature ejaculation, like how many men are suffering from this condition and why it is such a big problem for men.

To start by saying that premature ejaculating affects even more men than another quite common male problem: impotence or erectile dysfuncion!

Premature ejaculation commonly affects men of all ages!

That means that lots of men are suffering from this unpleasant (and for some even embarassing) problem, but not all men are willing to discuss the situation and then find a solution or treatment for it.

According to some medical studies in every group of 100 men worldwide, you will find 30 men that either ejaculate prematurely or have a very poor control over their ejaculation. That are some big numbers if you ask me!

What worries me even further is the fact that you this problem can affect you (or me) anytime. You can have a perfect ejaculation control, but then one day you realize how you dont have control over your ejaculation anymore.

Why is premature ejaculation such a problem?

The main reason why premature ejaculation represents such a big problem for a man is because this condition can seriously affect his quality of life.

Not only that you and your sexual partner can not enjoy the sexual intercourse as much and as long as you could when you ejaculate prematurely, but it also affects your mental well-being and your self-confidence!

Feelings of embarassement, imperfection and unsatisfaction with sexual intercourse and love relationships in general are just some of the things men with rapid ejaculation have to deal with on a daily basis.

As said, premature ejaculation can serious impact the quality of your life. It is therefore very important to not only talk about such issues, but to start solving them as well!

If you are currently suffering from premature ejaculation and dont know how to address these problems, then read my following posts to find out what can be done to treat premature ejaculation.
